Garden of the Gods is about an hour drive south from the hotel.
Heading south on I25 towards Colorado Springs the first point of interest is the Air Force Academy overlook. It's an easy pull on an off that gives you a vantage point of the front range and the Air Force Academy airfield. Parachute jumps and gliders are common sights.
Continuing on to Garden of the Gods visitor center; where you can take in the museum quality displays on the geology, history, flora and fauna of the area. Garden of the Gods is free admission. Driving through the park there are a couple lots with paved sidewalks taking you through the rock formations. There are also trail heads for those more adventurous.
Leaving the park make sure to stop by the Trading Post for some cool souvenirs and a public restroom.
Continue on into Manitou Springs for some more adventures! The town is touristy and cute. Home to several gift shops and restaurants as well as natural springs. Grab a cup at the visitor center or bring your own water bottle and get tasting! The Border Burger Bar is where Phil introduced Jenni to his parents for the first time :)
Manitou Springs is also home to two paid tourist attractions, Cave of the Winds Mountain Park and The Manitou Cliff Dwellings. Nearby is the Pikes Peak Cog Railway, a train ride to the top of Pikes Peak ( the mountain that inspired the song America the Beautiful).

Golden is about a 45 minute drive from the Denver Marriott Tech Center.
A trip to Colorado would not be complete without a visit to the Coors Brewery. The tour and tasting ($20) needs to be booked in advance, so the activities here will be dependent on that tour time. If you secure a reservation make sure to park at the tour lot.
The town of Golden also has a main st with shops and restaurants. Find yourself a brewpub after the tour to discuss everything you just learned! The Golden Mill is in walking distance, has a tap wall and different food vendors.
Right outside Golden is Lookout Mountain, a winding road which takes you to the top of the mountain. Along the road there are look out points. There is a nature center at the top The lookout points at the top will require some walking on uneven terrain. Going down the other side of the mountain will take you to the Denver Mountain Park which contains a herd of Bison.
